UHRICHSVILLE --The Meadowbrook High Colts overcame a six run deficit on the road, using a six run sixth inning to take down the Claymont Mustangs, 11-10, in East Central Ohio League action. Jeramie Neff struck out two and walked none, allowing zero runs in the final three innings for the Colts (5-12, 2-6 ECOL). Neff helped his own cause, clubbing a pair of doubles and a single with two RBI. Nick Yakubik also played well for Meadowbrook, hitting three singles and Nate Ellison and Preston Johnson added a pair of singles each in the win. Brennon Mills took the loss for Claymont with no strikeouts and a walk in two-thirds of an inning. Logan Addison led the Mustangs with a triple, double, single and two RBI. Evan Long added three singles and four RBI. * * * * * BYESVILLE --The Colts of Meadowbrook High swept invading Indian Creek, taking both games in dramatic fashion. The Colts took the opener 4-3 in eight innings and then won the second game by the same score with the winning run coming in the bottom of the seventh inning. In the first game, Matt Kennedy and Nate Ellison reached to start the eighth, then Logan Pepper laid down a bunt to third base. The ball was mishandled and there was a collision at first allowing Kennedy to score the winning run. Jeramie Neff picked up the win on the mound with a pair of Ks and no walks. Yakubik finished with a double, single and an RBI while Neff added a pair of singles. Pepper also had two singles with two RBI. Mitch Hukill tool the loss for Indian Creek with two strike outs and a walk. Vince Petrozzi was the leading hitter for the Redskins, recording a pair of singles. In the second game, Preston Johnson singles with one out in the bottom of the seventh, then promptly stole second and third. From there Trent Lasko hit one up the middle for the game-winning RBI. Pepper pitched the last two innings to improve to 1-4 on the season with two strikeouts and no walks. Lasko was the leader in game two for Meadowbrook (7-12) with a trio of singles and the winning RBI. Neff added a double and a single with two RBI. Michael Waite took the loss for Indian Creek (7-15), recording one strike out and five walks. Adam Young led the 'Skins with two singles and an RBI, and Allen Hastwell hit a pair of singles. Comments
