Meadowbrook 1
BYESVILLE -- Visiting New Philadelphia pounded out 14 hits en route to a 12-1 thrashing of Meadowbrook in East Central Ohio League play.
Max Price paced the Quakers (8-12) with three doubles, a single and three RBI. Kyle Widder and Demattio each had a double, single and two RBI; Nate Staley lined three singles and drove in three runs; and Trent Bird had two singles.
For Meadowbrook, Nick Yakubik collected two singles and Logan Pepper added a double.
Dean Vonderheide earned the pitching win for New Philly with five Ks and one walk. The trio of Pepper, Matt Kennedy and Preston Johnston worked the hill for the Colts, combining for four Ks and one walk, with Pepper (1-5) taking the loss.
River View 1,
Meadowbrook 0
WARSAW -- Jason Hammond singled home a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift River View to a 1-0 victory over Meadowbrook in East Central Ohio League action.
Schuyler King earned the pitching win for River View on a two-hit shutout. He struck out seven and walked five.
Jeramie Neff (4-4) took the loss for Meadowbrook (7-14, 2-8 ECOL) with three Ks and one walk.
Kelton Arden and Mike Adams each had two singles for River View.
Logan Pepper and Trent Lasko had the only hits for the Colts.
