Christopher Michael Jakubisin

Christopher Michael Jakubisin, 39, beloved father, brother, son and uncle, lost his battle with cancer at 7:13 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2009, at the Christopher Hospice House, Austin, Texas.

He was born June 11, 1970, a son of David Sr. and Mary (Voorhies) Jakubisin of Byesville.

Mr. Jakubisin was a graduate of Meadowbrook High School and a graduate of Zane State College. He was a system analyst for the city of Austin.

He was a Catholic by faith.

He was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Aaron Jakubisin; a brother, John Jacob Jakubisin; paternal grandparents, John and Josephine Jakubisin; maternal grandparents, John and Anna Marie Voorhies; and a special uncle, Michael S. Jakubisin.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lynn (McAfee) Jakubisin; a son, Joseph Michael; a daughter, Kayla Nichole; grandson, Riley David, all of Cambridge; two sisters, Annette (Lee) Konicki of Putnam, Conn., Jannine Jakubisin of Bellefontaine; two brothers, David (Chara) Jakubisin Jr., Pleasant City, and Anthony Patrick of San Diego, Calif.; six nieces and six nephews; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

In keeping with Christopher Michael's wishes, cremation will be observed. No services will be held at this time.
