Jim and Linda Potts of Pleasant City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 23, 2010. On Jan. 23, 1960, Linda Johnson, daughter of Louise Sichina of Cambridge and the late Richard Johnson, and Jim Potts, son of the late John and Alice Potts, were united in marriage in Columbus, at the home of the Rev. Helen Groves, who officiated the ceremony. Mrs. Potts was raised by her grandparents, the late Frank and Hazel Deeren. She is employed as a legal secretary at the law firm of Knowlton & Bennett. Mr. Potts is a bus mechanic for Rolling Hills Local School District. The couple have two sons, Jim (Yvonne Unger) of Wellesley, Mass., and Tim (Jill) of Richmond, Va. Completing the family circle are three grandchildren, Stephanie, Alicen and Elizabeth. To celebrate the special occasion, the couple's neighbors, Tom and Stephanie Secrest, hosted a surprise dinner.
