Vicki Jane Eikelberry and Robert Jesse Hickman were united in marriage on Nov. 7, 2009, at Derwent Church of Christ in Christian Union in Derwent. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She is the daughter of Daniel Eikelberry of Lafferty and Jane Eikelberry of Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Leroy and Sharon Hickman of Senecaville. Pastor John Jividen officiated the double-ring ceremony. Elnora Grant, friend of the couple, provided special music for the ceremony. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Jane Webb, her friend. Bridesmaids were Carrie Spung and Micha Jendrusik, friends of the bride. Serving the groom as best man was Shane Bedgood, his friend. Groomsmen were Bud Hickman, brother of the groom, and John Trissel, friend of the groom. Owen and Isaac Hickman, nephews of the groom, served as ushers. Hannah and Savannah Hollifield, nieces of the groom, served as flower girls. Kieran Krahel, son of the couple, served as ring-bearer. Maxwell Eikelberry, nephew of the bride, served as guestbook atttendant, and Ian Eikelberry, nephew of the bride, served as program attendant. A reception followed for 150 guests upstairs at Theos Restaurant in Cambridge. The new Mrs. Hickman is a graduate of Union Local High School and a graduate of Kent State University, where she earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees. She is the speech and language pathologist for the East Guernsey Local School District. Her husband is a graduate of Meadowbrook High School. He is an employee of Shelly and Sands. The couple plans to honeymoon in Canada later this year. They make their home in Senecaville. Comments
