Fire damages home on Perry's Den Road

CUMBERLAND -- A Perry's Den Road residence was damaged by fire Tuesday night, although the extent of the damage was not known as of press time today.

Firefighters from three volunteer fire departments responded to the blaze that was reported at approximately 7:02 p.m. via a call to the Noble County Sheriff's Office.

Cumberland, Belle Valley and Pleasant City dispatched firefighters to the residence at 8056 Perry's Den Road along with medical personnel from United Ambulance.

According to a radio log at the Guernsey and Noble county sheriff's offices, Pleasant City firefighters requested mutual aid from Belle Valley at 7:11 p.m. and Pleasant City at 7:22 p.m.

At 7:58 p.m., Cumberland EMS personnel advised two people were being transported to the hospital. Neither the extent of the injuries nor how they were suffered were available as of press time.

Guernsey-Muskingum Electric was contacted regarding electric service at the residence.

No cause or damage estimate were available as of Wednesday morning.

Firefighters cleared the scene after 9:40 p.m.

The blaze remained under investigation by the Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department.
