COLUMBUS -- A Byesville plant that makes and fills drink cartons would be able to expand and add 100 jobs as the Ohio Rail Development Commission staff have recommended that ORDC match a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to enable a rail spur that is critical to the project.

That's among the items slated for discussion at the regular ORDC Commission meeting at 10 a.m. today (Thursday, March 11) at the Ohio Department of Transportation Headquarters,1980 West Broad St., Room GA, Lower Level, Columbus.

Commissioners will also hear updates on Ohio's new state rail plan as it relates to long-term economic development, as well as an update on ORDC's 2010 Rail Line Rehabilitation Program.
