BYESVILLE -- Helen Hosko, 97, of Byesville, died Saturday (March 6, 2010) at The Beckett House in New Concord. She was born Feb. 13, 1913, in Piney Fork, daughter of the late Paul Felesky and Pauline Kolesar Felesky, the third of seven children. She married Pete Hosko on Nov. 24, 1952, while he was serving as a career soldier. As a military wife, Mrs. Hosko lived in Germany and Japan. In Germany she met Elvis Presley. A diligent writer, she maintained her military friendships throughout her life. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by sisters, Mary (John) Ravak of Cambridge, Elizabeth (Myron) Tucker of Byesville; brothers, Paul (Heather) Felesky of California, and John Felesky of Byesville. She is survived by sisters, Pauline Meitzer of The Beckett House and Ethel Kuklica of Byesville; nephews, Bill Pallat of Byesville, Robert Meitzer and Ed Ravak of Cambridge, and Tony (Susan) Kuklica of Byesville; nieces, Kathleen (James) McLin of Palatine, Ill., Judith Tucker of Canton and Renelda Gallagher of Stow. Helen leaves numerous great-and great-great-nephews and nieces. Funeral services were March 9 at the Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Pastor Joe Bradley of Christ Lutheran Church, Cambridge, officiated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Cambridge. Also, the family wishes to thank the staff at The Beckett House for its years of dedicated and caring service. Comments
