Those riding the Byesville Scenic Railway this season will enjoy a ride that will be longer than the rides in 2008.
"Before the season ends, there will be another two miles to the run," Tim Brown said. Brown is president of the Byesville Scenic Railway.
Tickets this season will be $12 for adults and $9 for children, 3 to 12 years old. Children less than 3 ride free.
They may be obtained, 30 minutes prior to scheduled departures, at the depot in Byesville at South Second Street.
"We seldom have completely full cars," Brown said. "And we don't turn people [away]."
If necessary, riders can travel in the caboose. Or, if there still is not enough room, the volunteers who operate the train will conduct another run, Brown said.
The runs are each about 90 minutes long. The next runs will be on Father's Day weekend. See the remainder of the 2009 schedule below.
